Tattoo Work by Jonathan Kellogg
This tattoo began as a cover up for an unwanted lower back butterfly from years before. Gina and I had gone over flower styles, and color choices beforehand, and decided not to use any stencils, but to marker it all on for better flow in the design. As I was drawing it on her, she kept encouraging me to draw more, and bring it around her side towards the front hip. It took a number of sessions to complete, and Gina drove from over 3 hours away for each visit! It all worked out great in the end, and this tattoo ended up winning for best cover up tattoo at the DC Tattoo Expo. 2014
